How can we help?

November 12, 2020 New Covid-19 Measures, Update:

As Manitoba enters another phase in its fight against the spread of the novel Coronavirus pandemic across the Province, Visionary Law is enacting measures to enhance the health and safety of all its stakeholders.

The measures we are putting into place are effective as of November 12, 2020. These measures will not affect our ability to serve you. Our advanced technologies are designed to allow us to serve you efficiently and effectively from anywhere, at any time. As of November 12, 2020 the Manitoba Law Courts are still open (albeit mostly remotely) to the public.

Measures to take effect this November 12, 2020:

  • Our doors are closed. Client meetings by appointment only.
  • Couriers, postal workers, and other service providers must knock and wear a mask at all times.
  • Payments are available through:
    • eTransfers – email and specify:
      • Amount to be transferred
      • Payor’s first & last names
      • Your email address to send you an eTransfer request
      • Your file #

eTransfers are completed through your online banking platform and therefore are secured by your banking institution.

  • Online secure credit card payments (click here to make your secure credit payment)
  • In office credit card, or interac payments, by appointment only (call 204.515.6020 to set up an appointment)
  • No other form of payment is accepted at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your cooperation and let you know that our service to you is not affected. For us it is simply business as usual. We offer guidance including outside the box solutions to help you in these unprecedented times.

Thank you for your trust in us!

Keep safe,
Your Visionary Team

May, 2020

Dear client,

The Courts have recently announced their return to “the usual course of business” albeit under social distancing limitations. The announcement is summarized below.

The Courts have substantially re-opened.  Parties can now take motions to satisfy any prerequisites that must be completed for their matter to progress, so that any matters that have been stalled due to COVID-19 can now move forward.  The courts are also allowing Triage and Case Conferences to be set once all prerequisites have been met.  Although, court attendances will be done remotely for the foreseeable future, these recent changes will allow your matter to progress.

Since matters can now be heard we are now operating under minimal Court restrictions limited to social distancing. We can now serve you with minimal limitations and we invite you to submit a free consultation form or if you are an existing client to operate under the assumption that your file can now move forward without restriction related to Covid-19.

We will continue to update this page periodically as new information is released.

Your dedicated team at Visionary Law

Dear client,
Recent developments involving the global Coronavirus epidemic are challenging global & local economies. Visionary Law’s approach of planning ahead and our reliance on cutting edge technologies allow us to operate seamlessly despite shortcomings related to our external environment. This gives you the assurance that during this time you can and should expect the same quality of service we provide daily to continue. In other words, quality of service and advice is not expected to change.
With that said, we are announcing a few changes to normal office procedures meant to preserve a healthy environment, ensure we are socially responsible, and make it easier and safer to receive legal services.
The following changes will be effective immediately:
  • In office payments will be limited to 1:00pm – 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
  • The use of our secure online credit card platform will be free of charge in order to minimize office visits.
  • To further promote social distancing we will limit in-office visits to required meetings only. Meetings will be mainly associated with the signing of documents in front of a lawyer.
  • While at the office we are asking that you keep a 2-meter distance from office staff. At this time we are asking that only the person(s) who’s signature is required attend at the office.
  • In order to keep the office sanitized, we will be wiping surfaces with disinfectant regularly and ask that you cough or sneeze into your sleeve while at the office.
  • All other meetings will be hosted by our video conferencing system. You can expect a system that is reliable and easy to use. Upon scheduling a meeting, we will email you a link. At the time of the meeting please click the link and follow the prompts. Video conferencing is available through phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer.
  • We ask that anyone who has been diagnosed with Corona, has been travelling or in close contact with someone diagnosed with the virus, or anyone exhibiting related symptoms to let us know prior to attending at the office. We will do our best to find an alternate way to meet or suggest other options.
Additionally, we are planning further changes to roll out in the coming days:
  1. In keeping with global developments, we expect further regulatory and supplier initiated changes to affect our operations. We will be informing you of any changes and we will house any update on a special page in our website so you can find it all in one place.
  2. In the unlikely event that we experience downtime with any of our systems please write: which will serve as a temporary email address for emergencies until we regain control of our systems.
At this time the office will remain open between 9am – 5pm. However, should we be required by health professionals and / or city hall to close the office we will notify you of an alternate place to mail documents. If you would like to use our debit or credit machine, send a cheque or make a cash payment we encourage you to use our eTransfer option instead. All you need to do is email our Controller, Yaniv Zohar at with your file #, name of payor, amount to be paid, and an email address to send an eTransfer request. Our eTransfer option is free of charge and can be used by online banking using most Canadian banks (including credit unions).
All of the above changes promote a healthy environment at the office and in the community. However, we expect these measures will also help minimize any disruptions to your day. If you are using your client portal to communicate with your lawyer, our video conferencing solution to meet with your lawyer, remit payment via eTransfers or our secure online credit card payment option, and emailing or mailing documents, you can help prevent the spread of the virus, protect yourself, and minimize disruptions to your day.
This epidemic is a temporary challenge we are living through together. We, at Visionary Law, are committed to help our dedicated men & women in the health system and our shared community to do our part to ease the burden associated with the transfer of this infectious virus and preserve the health of all our stakeholders. We are committed to ensure you, the clients, will continue to receive quality services.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued trust and wish you best of health. Any suggestions to help us serve you better generally and specifically at this time can be left by clicking here.
